Beauty – Is it skin deep?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:57 pm

The old saying Beauty is only skin deep – is it true?

I think it’s origins are correct in a way, as it is saying that just because someone is beautiful on the outside doesn’t mean that they are beautiful on the inside. Fair enough – and true in lots of cases.

But if we look at it another way may be the saying is telling people that beauty is on the outside – this gives the impression that to stay beautiful, or make yourself beautiful you would just need to pay attention to the outside. This is wrong on two levels:

One: Poople can be beautiful people with out looking conventially beautiful. Infact people can be beautiful people but look ugly on the outside. A person can be beautiful because they have a beautiful personality or they treat people really nicely or many of those things.

Two: Beauty if we are talking about conventional beauty – would probably mean to most people clear health skin, clear healthy eyes, nice white teeth, healthy glow to your skin, free of bodily nasties like warts and acne etc. But to get the good skin, the clear eyes etc you can’t just apply creams and potions and lotions and elixers to your skin! This is where beauty is definately not skin deep – you will have a much better effect on your skin, hair, nails and all the other things that will make you more beautiful if you concentrate on looking what you put IN your body.

If you eat crap and junkfood all day and night and wash it down with some fizzy drink do you think you will look beautiful for long? The answer to that is no. You need to eat fresh vegetables and fruit, drink lots of fresh, clean water, get a moderate amount of sun and excercise, get a good nights sleep and think poitively about your life.

The reason for the positive thinking is not only so you don’t end up with frown lines, it;s also because happy people look and feel better about themselves – and the happy, confident people look the most beautiful

Life Insurance

Do you need life insurance? Its a good question to start thinking about as people always end up needing insurance when they least expect it. It’s interesting that most people have car insurance, and a lot of people have home insurance, or contents insurance – and quite often both, but not so many people have life insurance.

Life insurance will not only pay out money when you die but will also pay out money if you are critically ill or get a terminal illness. While the first payout mentioned – when you die – is good for your family, it will cover the expenses of your funeral and will help your family to keep surviving money wise when you’re gone – which is extremely important if you are the main breadwinner in your house. But if life insurance only covered you on your death I could understand why a lot of people don’t have life insurance.

But it doesn’t just cover that – it will help you tremendously if you should ever get very sick or get a terminal illness (one that you will eventually die from),  like cancer. This is the most important payout that you can get from life insurance. The last thing you need when you get diagnosed with a terminal illness or otherwise get very sick is to worry about financial problems. Chances are you will need to quit work and will have a lot (as in thousands of dollars) more expenses, for treatments etc.  So to be able to have a saftey net to help you through those bad times is an amazing concept. Sure you have to pay money towards it – the premiums every month or every year, and sure it can seem like a lot of money at the time to pay – especially if you think sickness or illness will never happen to you.

There are so many extremely sick or terminally ill people in the world – all of them probably thought it would never happen to them. It’s important to think about the what if’s. Could you afford to pay for high priced drugs and treatments if you got sick? Could you afford to keep paying mortgage or rent payments as well, plus food, power, phone etc. When you think about it you can see that getting life insurance for yourself and your family really does make sense.

Don’t foget it doesn’t cost anything to jut find out the prices – you can get free life insurance quotes from most places online. And if you are thinking about getting life insurance don’t think too long – or you may find you needed it after all but are not insured.

Par-4 protein – The Cure for Cancer?

You may or may not have heard of Dr Vivek Rangnekar, professor of radiation medicine at the University of Kentucky. He is an Indian doctor that now lives in America and has come up with some amazing findings.  Dr Rangnekar first discovered the Par 4 gene in 1993. Since then he has created super mice with Par 4 introduced into the mouse embryo. These ’super mice’ are totally resistant to cancer. How cool is that. No matter what the mice can’t get cancer.

Dr Rangnekar is has found that this Par 4 protein is made naturally by our bodies – and infact tests so far have shown that people can only get cancer if they have low levels in their body of the Par 4 protein.

The Par 4 protein will only attack cancerous cells and will not do any damage to other healthy cells in your body. The great thing too about Par 4 is that not only is it made by the body but it is circulated around the body to all areas via the circulatory system.

The super mice that have been testing Par 4 were not only shown to be resistant to getting cancer they lived longer too – another added bonus.

Dr Rangnekar is currently researching how to make human bodies produce more of the Par 4 protein naturally through different natural diets.

Obviously there is a lot more testing to be done – but Dr Rangnekar has been doing a great job with his research over the past 25 years.  Scientists have been studying other ways to kill cancer cells as it was thought that you needed to introduce large amounts of the Par 4 protein inside them – but Rangnekar has just had a breakthrough in that he has found that Par 4 protein will kill cancer cells even when applied from the outside of the cell

Cancer results from excessive cell division and reduced cell death. A number of cell death proteins are missing from human tumors, allowing cancer cells to ignore the cues that keep their growth in check.

Willpower and Weightloss

Willpower – how do you get it??

So you plan to loose weight again. But then you call in past the supermarket and end up buying chocolate biscuits again!

Why is it that some of us seem to lack the willpower necessary to stop eating crap, so that our bodies can rid themselves of excess fat. Do we subconsciously not want to loose weight? Do we feel that we will probably fail anyway so what’s the use? Is it somehow the people that we live with that are to blame? Does your husband all of a sudden bring you home a chocolate bar the day after you announce you are going on a diet? Maybe it’s a whole lot of reasons all working together – I’m sure it is – but the big question is how do you stop all the excuses going on in your brain and actually follow through with your plan?

Unfortunately I don’t think that there’s one answer for everybody. Some can just decide that they want to stick to a diet – and then stick to it. Others can stick to their diet if they reward themselves in other ways when they succeed. Others will need to have someone else step in so that they have someone else to be accountable for. This is actually a great way to help you follow through with eating correctly to loose weight. If you’ve got the money you can splash out and pay for a personal trainer or nutritionist to keep an eye on your food diary for you – but even better and definitely cheaper get your husband or friend or kids involved to help you succeed.

If you have a supportive partner or husband they are ideal – let them know what you want to be eating and what you don’t want to be eating – and ask them to help keep you in check. Having said this if your partner is not supportive they can actually sabotage your dietary success.

A really fun way of sticking to a diet is to do it with a friend. If you both have the same goals of loosing weight why not come up with a way to keep an eye on each other. Perhaps keep a record of everything you eat and drink in a day and once a day you can call each other to discuss your days eating. You can also call your friend for support if you are feeling like you are going to eat a piece of chocolate cake. Also if you and your friend are both following the same plan you’ll find that you would feel guilty if you were to cheat – as you would be letting your friend down.

If you are really serious about trying to loose weight and have tried all the other avenues I would suggest Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is a great way to help control your mind and it will help make you stick to your goals. Apart from the cost there is no reason not to try Hypnotherapy – it’s safe, effective and doesn’t have side effects. It will probably only cost you the same amount as getting a personal trainer anyway so what have you got to loose except fat?

Cabala Cancer detox

Filed under: Health — admin @ 7:48 am

So… Don Tolman. Have you heard of him – what do you think of his ideas?

I only found about about Don Tolman around a year ago. I had gone for a routine cervical smear test and got an abnormal result.
Panicking as you do I started researching for cancer cures. A friend of mine put me on to Don’s Cabala juice detox – which consists of eliminating all food and water except for the juice of apples, beetroot, lemon and carrots.
I was meant to do the detox for 2 weeks – but I ended up only having time to do one week on the Cabala juice before I had to see the specialist.
So the juice consisted of 2 green apples, 2 red apples, and 2 yellow apples, carrots, beetroot, and lemon. Tastes pretty yummy to be honest – though it would be nicer without the carrot and the beetroot.
I wasn’t hungry during the detox week which was excellent – and I usually have a bit of a chocolate addiction happening – which dissapeared during the detox and for about a week after I finished the detox.

So anyway I went off to see the specialist and got a colposcopy – fun – NOT – but the great thing was it came back fine – not even a trace of anything!!
When the specialist called me in a week later to give me the results he explained that it was possible that he didn’t go in far enough and that’s why nothing showed – so he organised another colposcopy for 6 weeks later.
Again after 6 weeks my second colposcopy result was normal!

I didn’t explain to the specialist about the cancer detox as I figured he would probably think it was mumbo jumbo – but as far as I’m concerned it works :)
